The game is best played with tact, silently taking out your enemies, watching their moves, placing your land and trip mines and carrying out a plan like falling dominos. Sure, you can run and gun your way through a lot of the time, but don’t expect to find an easy nor successful endeavor. Most missions require a sense of planning. The game’s various missions will take the player to different environments with a selection of 2 primary firearms and a sidearm, along with equipment that can be used to one’s advantage. Sniper Elite setting is player vs the world, being off on their own and having to use traps and sneaking around as your best options to get the job done. With twists and a classic bad guy storyline, it’s certainly nothing spectacular but a fun alternate history story for the history nuts out there. For those unfamiliar however, the story follows Karl Fairburne and his intense exploits to assassinate his way through high ranking Nazi officials and secure top German scientist for the US to prevent a top secret V2 Rocket program on the behalf of the Wehrmacht.
